1976 to 1977: Assistant in charge of the Chair of Plastic Surgery at the University of Parma directed by Prof. A. Azzolini.
1977 – 1978: Assistant at the Service de Chirurgie Plastique et Maxillo-Faciale of the Center Hospitalier Regional de l’Universitè de Nancy (France).
1980 – 1983: Confirmed Researcher at the Chair of Plastic Surgery at the University of Parma directed by Prof. A. Azzolini
1983 – 1987: Confirmed Researcher at the Chair of General Surgical Clinic and Surgical Therapy at the University of Sassari.
1987 – 1991: Confirmed Researcher at the San Donato Institute of Medical-Surgical Sciences of the University of Milan, Chair of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery directed by Prof. A. Azzolini.
1991 – 1992: Associate Professor of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the University of Milan.
1992 – 2003: Associate Professor of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Udine, holding the role of Director of the Institute of Plastic Surgery.
In 1996-1997 he was also entrusted with the role of Director of the School of Specialization in Plastic Surgery which he held until 10/31/2005.
From 01/08/2001 to 31/10/2005, Prof. Carlo Riberti was assigned the role of complex structure “Head of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic” at the University Hospital of Udine.
At the Udine headquarters he contributed to the birth and growth of a university center of Plastic Surgery, which came to fruition in 1996 with the creation of a real Plastic Surgery Clinic, equipped with 10 beds and daily operating activity still in continuous expansion
From 1 October 2005 to today, he has been Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Ferrara and Director of the Institute of Plastic Surgery at the Arcispedale Sant’Anna.

Graduated with full marks and honors in July 1969 from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.
Specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1978 at the University of Parma, while in 1981 he specialized in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Pathology at the University of Pisa.

He is the author of 250 scientific publications of both an experimental and clinical nature, relating to the various fields of reconstructive plastic surgery
